Hello! I'm Michelle 李雨荷 (lǐ yǔ hé), a film producer turned visual and strategic designer from Shanghai and Singapore based in New York City, where I'm a Master's candidate at Parsons School of Design. I discovered a love for photography at a young age, which has since grown into a tremendous passion for creating and visual storytelling.
Along with my background in international relations and environmental science, I have a fascination with media and technology's potential to innovate, inform, and entertain. Leveraging my social sciences foundation and my experience in photography, film production, graphic design, and UI/UX design, I use art, creativity, media, and technology to communicate about issues of importance to me, which are often complex yet critical topics. I'm particularly passionate about social justice, health equity, climate action, culture, and entertainment and am always looking for opportunities to explore these professionally. Studying Strategic Design and Management at Parsons, I’m learning to combine strategy and visual design to communicate beyond aesthetics in ways that are also ethical, accessible, and meaningful.
Find me curating playlists, reading on public transportation, dancing ballet, with my cats, or via email.
